Sandra Naccache and Jorge Lopez are two highly accomplished, sought after and experienced artists. The combined backgrounds of this diverse duo makes them stand out forming a strength and beauty in their dance that will draw you in.
Born in Buenos Aires Argentina Jorge took his first Tango lesson at age 11. From that day, Tango became his passion and eventually his career making him renowned worldwide. He has had the honour to be a judge for the preliminary world championships in several countries.
Of Mediterranean origin, fluent in four languages, Sandra fell in love with dance as a child as she accompanied her mom to dance rehearsals. She eventually founded "Academie de danse Sandra Naccache", and won several awards as choreographer in Baladi productions . Her multi-faceted background in dance (Tango, Ballroom & Baladi) led her to Argentina in 2010 where she immersed herself in the culture. Since then she has dedicated her career to Argentine Tango.
Based in Argentina and Montreal, Sandra & Jorge met in 2014 at "La Baldosa", a traditional local milonga in Buenos Aires. They began their collaboration in 2016 and formed a full-time dance couple in 2018.
Before joining forces and till this very day both dancers have taught and performed internationally in festivals, theaters, cruise ships, television, movies and highly reputable exclusive events.
A few of their many accomplishments include:
- Teaching and performing in Milonga’s such as Argentina’s iconic Salon Canning, Club Gricel, and Porteño Bailarin ‘El Beso’
- Exclusive top-of-the line cruise ships such as Princess, Cunard, and Oceania Sirena
- Promoting the Argentine Tango culture in over 25 countries.
Filmed in Buenos Aires, Sandra and Jorge were featured as guest dancers and choreographers on the famous Chinese reality series “Sisters Over Flowers”. They have taken part in the « Encuentro 100% Tanguero » festival and show in Tucuman Argentina. They danced in the film « 24M NUNCA MÁS » (commemoration of the disappeared in Argentina) under the direction of Hugo Mastrolorenzo, also filmed In Buenos Aires.
A few amongst many of the events they have been invited to include Hotel de Ville (Lyon, France), Places des Arts (Montreal), Rialto & St-James theater (Montreal) and several more.
Charismatic and authentic, Sandra and Jorge possess a panoply of knowledge and have developed a solid student base worldwide. They are fluent in 4 languages (English, French, Spanish and Arabic). Sandra’s background in graphic design combined with Jorge’s studies in electro mechanics enhances their refined attention to detail. Their teaching method is impeccable, structured and catered to help their students develop as dancers. Their classes transmit an authentic understanding of the essence and culture of Tango. Their organized lesson plans include detailed analysis and breakdown of each movement.
Sandra and Jorge founded «TangoEXpress Laboratorio EXplorativo », an academic structured program (beginner-advanced) offering their students a complete learning experience. Tango EXpress offers tailored thematic workshops designed with clarity and detail, developing the key elements of Tango from the simple to the complex.
They strongly believe that a proper understanding of technique, body coordination, awareness and core strength are all essential tools in a dancer’s evolution and development .With technique comes artistry and from a comprehensive understanding of movement, students can feel free to move and create.
